We have a home embroidery machine (a Brother SE-400 to be exact) and have had tons of fun embroidering anything that doesn’t have a pulse on it, but when we decided to make some badges and patches for our kids, all of the guides we found required expensive material or die cutters. We figured there had to be a better (and cheaper) way, so we experimented with easily available and cheap craft store products and found a method to make iron on custom patches/badges (like boy scouts and girl scouts badges). We made the following video tutorial to help others make these fun patches.
